This year, Drayer Physical Therapy Institute® celebrates its sixth anniversary. Starting with a single physical therapy center in Bel Air, Md., Drayer now owns or manages 37 centers in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and South Carolina. Hummelstown, Pa.-based Drayer Physical Therapy Institute® has been named one of the “Best Places to Work in PA.” This recognition is in keeping with the foundation of our belief system: a desire to create a work environment that protects, nurtures and grows our most significant asset – our employees – so that they will serve our greatest gift – our patients.
We cherish our employees, who have chosen to become members of our team, and our patients, who have selected and entrusted our team with their physical therapy needs.
Drayer Physical Therapy Institute®’s mission is to provide the most clinically superior physical therapy humanly possible through commitments to:
Service
We see ourselves as an extension of the referring physician’s practice. Recommending their patients to Drayer Physical Therapy Institute® is a reflection on them.We are committed to treating each referral promptly and with integrity, honesty and compassion so that patients know their physician has their best interests in mind.
Education
We invest in education to ensure that our professional staff remains on the cutting edge of what’s new in physical therapy, based on science and sound clinical research. We host monthly continuing education sessions and have formed journal clubs as a platform for disseminating Drayer Physical Therapy Institute® research and critically evaluating and discussing articles published in medical periodicals. For referring physicians and their patients, we produce a newsletter that each quarter focuses on a specific injury, its causes and its treatment.
Research
We are dedicated to conducting and disseminating scientifically sound and clinically relevant research. Dr. Irene Davis, a professor of physical therapy at the University of Delaware, is Drayer Physical Therapy Institute®’s director of research and a presenter at this conference. The Company funds Dr. Davis’ position at the university in exchange for her conducting and sharing the results of her orthopedic and sports medicine research with us.
